Aside from the mainstream opinion programming (cable news, coordinated media), we want to share independent sources of knowledge, balance, truth and awareness. Click to view or download, updated 1-18-2021.
Consume knowledge from various sources. Ask questions and do your research. Consider facts which challenge your beliefs. As you carry on, consider your interactions with others to be rooted in understanding and not about a goal to change their mind or tell them they are wrong. Read it again.
Remember about TV (television, tell-a-vision), you “tune in” to the “frequency” to “channel” your “programming”. Deep. If you find yourself repeating the headlines from the TV, pause for a second and see if you are caught up in the game. Be strong, be a free thinker, be aware of group think and echo chambers. Seek the truth. Decide for yourself. Notice projection. Be aware of distractions and patterns. Trust your gut. Connect the dots.
Recognize that the media plays you. Do you have a favorite news channel? CNN, FOX, others? Be careful. They all try to sway your opinion versus reporting facts. Watch the channel opposite yours some time, observe the bias and be aware of your own.
